Contemporary Grey Fabric Upholstered Armchair with Black Legs

This contemporary armchair is a detailed SketchUp model featuring grey fabric upholstery and a dark wood frame with tapered legs. Defined by a soft, rounded silhouette, this armchair features a continuous back and armrest structure that cradles the user. The seat is upholstered in a textured grey fabric, complemented by a single rectangular white throw cushion for added lumbar support. A solid, dark-stained timber base supports the upholstered shell, transitioning into four slender, tapered legs that provide a lightweight, elevated aesthetic. The proportions are balanced for lounge environments, with a low profile that maintains visual openness while offering a deep, comfortable seating depth suitable for various interior design schemes.

The download is a 6.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised with logical grouping, allowing for easy material replacement or texture scaling on the upholstery. The geometry is clean, ensuring efficient viewport navigation and rendering performance. Users can import this component directly into their scene, using the native axis for precise placement against walls or within furniture groupings. Adjusting the fabric mapping or swapping the leg finish is straightforward, as the base and cushion elements are separated for granular control during the design development phase.

This armchair is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, and executive office waiting areas. Its neutral colour palette and contemporary form allow it to pair seamlessly with minimalist side tables, floor lamps, or as part of a larger seating arrangement in a lounge. Architects and interior designers often search for this type of accent chair to add texture and comfort to a space without overwhelming the surrounding decor, making it a versatile choice for high-end residential or commercial projects.
