About this asset

This contemporary grey fabric armchair, modelled for SketchUp, features a curved, button-tufted backrest and a patterned accent cushion. This contemporary armchair features a rounded, barrel-style silhouette with a deep, curved backrest. The upholstery is a neutral grey fabric, accented by subtle button-tufting along the inner back curve. A single decorative scatter cushion with a vibrant, multicolour geometric pattern provides a high-contrast focal point. The seat is supported by slender, splayed metal legs, providing a lightweight aesthetic. The proportions are compact, suitable for intimate seating areas or bedroom corners, blending soft, rounded forms with clean, minimalist structural elements to create a balanced piece of furniture for modern interior design schemes.

The download is a 3.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model should be managed using component nesting to keep the geometry clean. Users can easily swap the fabric texture or adjust the cushion placement by entering the group level. The model is scaled for standard seating heights, but verification against your project's floor plan is recommended. When rendering, ensure the metal leg material is assigned a reflective finish to capture surrounding light, while the fabric should be mapped with a subtle bump or normal map for added realism.

This armchair is well-suited for residential living rooms, master bedrooms, or boutique hotel lobbies where a touch of soft seating is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist side tables or as part of a larger lounge set in a contemporary apartment project. Professionals searching for 'accent chairs', 'barrel-style seating', or 'modern upholstered armchairs' will find this asset useful for populating interior renders that require a balance of neutral tones and a singular, eye-catching decorative element.
