About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max lounge chair features a grey concrete shell seat supported by slender metal legs and includes a draped throw. This lounge chair features a distinct bowl-shaped seat cast from grey concrete, showcasing a raw, textured surface finish. It is supported by a minimalist four-legged base constructed from thin, metallic rods, providing a sharp contrast to the substantial weight of the concrete shell. A soft, dark fabric throw is artfully draped over one side of the seat, adding a layer of tactile comfort to the industrial aesthetic. The proportions are low and wide, designed specifically for relaxation in lounge settings. The combination of cold concrete and warm textile creates a balanced, sculptural appearance.

The download is an 11 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with distinct material IDs for the concrete shell, metal legs, and fabric throw, allowing for easy texture adjustments. Users can apply custom shaders to the concrete to achieve desired levels of weathering or polish. The throw is a separate geometry object, facilitating placement or removal depending on the scene requirements. Standard pivot points are located at the base, ensuring straightforward snapping to floor planes and alignment within interior architectural visualisations.

Ideal for modern residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or contemporary office breakout areas, this lounge chair serves as a strong focal point. It pairs well with minimalist side tables or low-profile coffee tables. Designers searching for industrial-chic seating, concrete furniture, or accent chairs with a sculptural quality will find this asset useful. It integrates effectively into high-end interior design projects where a blend of raw materiality and soft textiles is required to anchor a space and provide visual depth.
