Contemporary Grey Concrete and Natural Wood Reception Desk

This contemporary SketchUp reception desk features a striking contrast between a dark grey concrete base and a warm natural wood panel. This linear reception desk is defined by its clean, minimalist geometry and material juxtaposition. The main body is finished in a textured dark grey concrete, which provides a solid, grounded anchor for the design. Centered on the front face is a large, rectangular wood-veneer panel that adds warmth and tactile interest. The desk surface remains sleek and uncluttered, suitable for professional environments. Its proportions are designed for standard lobby or office placement, offering a balanced aesthetic that integrates easily into various interior design schemes, from high-end corporate headquarters to boutique hotel reception areas.

The download is a 26.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Designed for SketchUp, this model is structured with clear geometry for efficient placement in architectural scenes. Users can easily adjust the material mapping on the wood and concrete surfaces to match specific project lighting or render engine requirements. The clean lines allow for straightforward snapping to floor plans or interior wall alignments. For optimal performance, ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer within your project file to manage visibility during the design development process.

Ideal for professional office lobbies, hotel reception areas, and commercial showrooms, this desk serves as a primary focal point in hospitality or corporate design projects. It pairs effectively with modern lighting fixtures, such as sputnik-style chandeliers or recessed downlighting, and complements neutral-toned flooring materials like large-format porcelain tiles or polished concrete. Architects and interior designers searching for minimalist front-of-house furniture will find this piece suitable for high-traffic environments where a clean, sophisticated aesthetic is required for client-facing spaces.
