About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max model features a layered fabric curtain set with dark grey side panels and a lighter white central drape. The assembly consists of a dual-layer curtain system designed for full-height window coverage. It features two dense, charcoal-grey outer panels that frame a lighter, semi-sheer white central panel. The fabric displays realistic vertical folds and drapes, creating a structured aesthetic that suggests a heavy, high-quality textile. The geometry is clean and intended for architectural visualization, capturing the natural bunching and weight of the material at the floor line. This model provides a balanced contrast in tone and texture, suitable for adding depth and realism to interior window treatments without unnecessary complex geometry.

The download is a 10.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, users should treat the curtains as a single object or group, scaling them to match the specific height of the project's window openings. Proper placement involves aligning the header with the curtain track or pelmet line. Users can easily modify the opacity or texture maps to adjust the translucency of the white layer, ensuring it interacts correctly with light sources and HDRI environments to achieve the desired level of softness in the final render.

This asset is well-suited for high-end residential interiors, hotel suites, and luxury office lounges where a layered window treatment is required. It pairs effectively with modern interior schemes, particularly in living rooms and master bedrooms where soft textures are needed to balance hard surfaces. Architects and interior designers searching for window dressings or drapery assets will find this model useful for adding finishing touches to daylight studies and interior perspectives, as it effectively communicates a sense of comfort and domestic scale.
