About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp model features a set of two cantilever armchairs with chrome frames and upholstered fabric seats. These armchairs feature a distinctive cantilevered base constructed from tubular chrome-plated steel, providing a sleek, minimalist silhouette. The design includes a padded seat, backrest, and integrated armrests, all upholstered in a textured fabric. The set includes two variations: one finished in a neutral grey and the other in a vibrant yellow. The proportions are balanced, suitable for dining or light office use, with the continuous metal frame providing a subtle flex. Each component is clearly defined, with clean seams on the upholstery and smooth transitions at the metal joints.

The download is an 18.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into groups, allowing for easy placement and material adjustments. Users can apply custom textures to the fabric or adjust the chrome material settings within their preferred render engine. The scale is set to real-world units, making it straightforward to insert into architectural scenes. Managing visibility through layers or tags ensures the model remains lightweight during the design process, especially when populating larger dining or office layouts.

These armchairs are well-suited for modern residential dining rooms, boutique office breakout areas, or contemporary hospitality settings like cafes and lounges. They pair effectively with minimalist dining tables, glass-topped desks, or as accent seating in a study. Professionals searching for cantilever seating, modern office chairs, or designer-style fabric armchairs will find these assets provide a clean, high-quality look for interior visualisations and space planning, particularly where a pop of colour or a neutral accent is required to complete a room composition.
