About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp model features a dark wood sliding door cabinet with an open shelving section and a minimalist aesthetic. This storage cabinet features a striking contrast between its dark, matte-finished frame and the rich, expressive grain of the sliding door panel. The unit is divided into two main sections: a fixed open-shelving side with three horizontal tiers, and a sliding door that conceals the adjacent compartment. Its proportions are tall and rectangular, supported by a slim, clean-lined base structure. The wood finish highlights natural organic patterns on the door, providing a warm focal point against the dark structural elements. The design is functional yet sculptural, suitable for modern interior compositions.

The download is a 69.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Utilise this SketchUp model by importing the component into your project file via the component browser or by merging the file directly. The geometry is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy placement against walls or as a standalone feature. Textures are applied to standard faces; adjust the material mapping or scaling to suit specific lighting conditions or render engine requirements. Ensure the model is placed on the floor plane and check that the sliding door component is correctly oriented for any intended animations.

This cabinet is ideal for residential living rooms, sophisticated home offices, or boutique hotel lobbies where refined storage is required. It pairs well with low-profile lounge chairs and minimalist decor accessories, such as busts or ceramic vessels. It integrates seamlessly into contemporary or mid-century inspired design schemes, providing both practical shelf space and a strong visual anchor for your floor plans.
