About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max display cabinet features dark timber, glass-fronted upper sections, and natural rattan lower door panels. Constructed with a deep, dark brown timber frame, this tall display cabinet balances solid and transparent volumes. The upper portion includes two flanking glass-panelled doors and a central open display niche, accented with subtle gold-toned detailing along the arch. Below, four doors are finished with woven rattan inserts, providing texture and ventilation. The internal shelving is configured for tableware and books, offering a mix of concealed and open storage. The piece is presented with a curated selection of decorative objects, including ceramics, framed art, and books, all integrated into the overall design.

The download is an 11.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Optimise this asset in 3ds Max by managing the glass and rattan textures within the material editor to ensure realistic light transmission and surface depth. Use the object as a single, modular block, adjusting the pivot point to the base for precise placement against interior walls. When scaling, maintain the aspect ratio of the rattan patterns to avoid texture stretching. The model is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for the easy toggling of decorative accessories to suit specific project requirements.

This piece is ideal for high-end residential dining rooms, living areas, or luxury hotel suites where a focal storage element is required. It pairs well with modern or transitional interiors, functioning as a sophisticated china cabinet or a decorative bookshelf. Professionals searching for refined storage solutions, rattan-accented furniture, or statement display units will find this model suitable for both conceptual renders and detailed interior visualisations. It is well-suited for projects requiring a blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetic sensibilities.
