About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max model features a cream fabric curved sofa, complete with decorative accent cushions and a draped throw blanket. Defined by its fluid, organic silhouette, this curved sofa offers a soft, inviting aesthetic suitable for modern interiors. The piece is fully upholstered in a neutral cream-toned fabric that highlights its sweeping, crescent-like form. It includes two distinct accent cushions—one in a dark grey and one in a rich brown—along with a textured throw blanket draped over one end to enhance the sense of realism. The backrest flows seamlessly into the armrests, creating a cohesive, sculptural look that works well as a central focal point in a large lounge or open-plan living space.

The download is a 6.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When working in 3ds Max, this model is best utilised by merging it into your scene as a single object group. Ensure the pivot point is aligned with the floor plane for easy placement. Apply your preferred fabric shaders to the base geometry, and use the provided cushions as separate elements to adjust their positioning to suit your specific furniture arrangement. The geometry is clean, allowing for efficient light interaction and realistic shadow casting during standard architectural visualisation workflows.

Ideal for high-end residential projects, hotel lobbies, and luxury lounge areas, this curved sofa pairs effectively with circular coffee tables or minimalist rugs. Professionals often search for this asset when designing sophisticated conversation areas or open-plan living rooms where a soft, non-linear seating solution is required. It integrates well into contemporary, minimalist, and transitional design schemes, providing a comfortable yet refined aesthetic that complements other soft furnishings and layered interior textures throughout a project.
