Contemporary Charcoal Stone Sculptural Reception Desk

This contemporary SketchUp reception desk features a striking monolithic charcoal stone base with a dramatic, cantilevered sculptural form. Defined by its raw, geological aesthetic, this reception desk functions as a singular sculptural element within a lobby or professional space. The form mimics a large, weathered stone monolith, tapering toward the floor to create a grounded yet floating appearance. The surface texture is rugged and irregular, suggesting hand-hewn or natural stone, finished in a deep charcoal tone. Its generous top provides ample workspace for reception staff while maintaining a minimalist profile that conceals internal storage or cabling requirements. The piece is designed to serve as a high-impact focal point in modern interior design schemes.

The download is a 76 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is managed as a single component to facilitate easy placement and scaling. Users should ensure the insertion point is aligned with the floor plane, as the desk's irregular base requires careful positioning to maintain its intended aesthetic. The high-resolution material mapping should be handled via the native material editor, ensuring the stone texture scale is adjusted to suit the scene's overall lighting and camera distance, preserving the integrity of the natural, rugged finish throughout the rendering process.
