About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max bar stool features a rich burgundy velvet seat atop a sleek, black metal pedestal base with a footrest. Defined by its organic, shell-like seat profile, this bar stool offers a minimalist aesthetic suitable for modern interiors. The seat is upholstered in a deep burgundy velvet, providing a soft texture that contrasts with the industrial precision of the structural components. A sturdy black metal central column supports the seat, transitioning into a wide circular base for stability. A triangular footrest is integrated directly into the pedestal, maintaining a clean, cohesive silhouette. The proportions are balanced, ensuring comfort while maintaining a low-profile footprint that works well in smaller spaces or clustered arrangements.

The download is an 18.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When working in 3ds Max, ensure the model is scaled correctly against your scene units before placement. The velvet material is mapped to the seat geometry, allowing for adjustments to the pile density or sheen via the material editor. The stool is organised into logical layers, making it easy to isolate the seat from the metal base for individual texture tweaking or colour variations. Use a high-quality HDRI to capture the subtle light reflections on the velvet and the satin-finish metal surfaces.

Ideal for high-end residential kitchen islands, boutique hotel bars, or contemporary office breakout areas, this stool brings a touch of warmth through its textile finish. It pairs effectively with marble-topped counters or dark wood breakfast bars, creating a sophisticated contrast in tone and material. Search for this piece when specifying seating for luxury hospitality projects, modern studio apartments, or trendy cafe fit-outs. Its versatile design ensures it remains a functional yet stylish addition to any space requiring elevated bar-height seating solutions.
