About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max ottoman features brown velvet upholstery with a distinct quilted finish in a low-profile, square form. Designed with a low-profile, squarish footprint, this ottoman emphasises comfort through its soft, rounded edges and plush construction. The surface is defined by horizontal quilted channels that provide structural rhythm to the velvet fabric. The deep brown colour adds warmth, while the lack of visible feet gives it a grounded, monolithic appearance. Its proportions suggest a relaxed seating element suitable for informal lounge settings. The piece is finished with a consistent textile texture across all sides, ensuring it looks considered from any angle within a rendered interior composition.

The download is a 14.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this ottoman into a 3ds Max scene, merge the file into your master project folder. Ensure the object is placed on a dedicated layer to manage visibility during viewport navigation. The velvet material is pre-configured; check the UV mapping to confirm the quilted pattern aligns correctly with the geometry. For realism, apply a subtle noise modifier to the surface to break up perfect edges, and use a high-quality HDRI environment to capture the light interaction on the fabric pile.

This ottoman is an ideal addition to residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or casual breakout areas in modern offices. It functions effectively as a standalone footrest, a low-level seat, or grouped together to form a modular seating arrangement. Professionals frequently search for this type of soft, quilted furniture to add texture and comfort to minimalist or contemporary interior designs. It pairs well with low-slung modular sofas, textured wool rugs, and warm ambient lighting schemes to create an inviting, relaxed atmosphere.
