About this asset

This contemporary brown velvet dining chair, modelled for 3ds Max, features a distinctive quilted backrest and a slender metal base. This dining chair features a soft, brown velvet upholstery with a subtle horizontal quilted pattern across the backrest and seat. The silhouette is sleek and modern, supported by a four-legged metal base that converges at a central swivel point. The thin, tapered legs provide a lightweight aesthetic, balancing the plush, padded appearance of the upholstered shell. Precise stitching details define the quilted sections, adding texture to the otherwise smooth velvet fabric. Its compact footprint and refined proportions make it a versatile seating option for various interior styles, from minimalist dining spaces to professional office breakout areas.

The download is a 15.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users can apply custom materials to the velvet shell to match specific project colour palettes or adjust the metal finish on the base to suit different metallic requirements. Proper scaling is essential to ensure it aligns correctly with standard dining or desk heights within the scene, while the base pivot point allows for easy rotation to create dynamic, natural-looking seating arrangements.

This chair is well-suited for modern dining rooms, upscale cafe interiors, or contemporary home office setups where comfort and style are equally prioritised. It pairs effectively with glass or timber dining tables, providing a sophisticated contrast against harder surfaces. Designers often search for this type of asset when specifying furniture for residential projects, boutique hotel lobbies, or meeting rooms. Its neutral brown tone and clean lines allow it to integrate seamlessly into diverse colour schemes, whether in industrial lofts or more traditional settings.
