About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max lounge chair features a low-profile, rounded form upholstered in a tactile brown velvet finish. Defined by its soft, organic silhouette, this lounge chair prioritises comfort through its deep, generous seat and integrated backrest. The design is strictly minimalist, eschewing visible legs for a sleek, ground-hugging base that emphasises its rounded, pebble-like aesthetic. The upholstery is a rich, warm brown velvet, which provides a plush texture and subtle light-catching quality. With its compact footprint and lack of armrests, the chair functions as a versatile accent piece suitable for varied interior arrangements where a relaxed, low-slung aesthetic is required to maintain sightlines across an open-plan space.

The download is an 8.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset into your 3ds Max scene, use the merge command to bring the object into your master file. The model is presented with clean geometry, suitable for subdivision if closer camera angles are required. Ensure your material library is updated to manage the velvet shader, adjusting the falloff and specular maps to suit your specific lighting environment. Proper alignment to the floor plane is essential due to the low-profile base, which may require minor Z-axis adjustments depending on your floor finish.

This lounge chair is an ideal choice for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading corners in a home office. Its neutral yet warm tone pairs well with natural timber flooring, large-scale area rugs, or alongside higher-profile sofas to create a layered seating arrangement. Professionals often search for this type of asset when specifying furniture for contemporary apartments or hospitality projects requiring a sophisticated, soft-edged aesthetic. It serves as a focal point in minimalist interiors where form and texture define the space.
