About this asset

This contemporary brown velvet armchair for 3ds Max features a distinctive circular seat design and a plush, loose back cushion. Defined by its soft, rounded geometry, this contemporary armchair offers a deep, circular seat upholstered in a rich brown velvet fabric. The design integrates a semi-circular backrest that gently curves around the user, providing a supportive, cocoon-like feel. A large, square-profile loose cushion rests against the back, enhancing comfort and adding a tactile element to the piece. The entire structure is elevated on slender, minimalist metal legs that provide a clean contrast to the soft upholstery, ensuring the chair maintains a light, balanced aesthetic suitable for modern interior compositions.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming to facilitate easy manipulation of the upholstery and metal frame components. Users should apply a high-quality velvet material shader to the main body, adjusting the sheen and fall-off parameters to capture the fabric's natural light absorption. The mesh is prepared for standard scene integration, allowing for straightforward scaling and placement within interior visualisations. Ensure the pivot point is at floor level for efficient snapping to ground planes or rugs.

This piece works effectively as a statement accent chair in high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or luxury reading nooks. Its compact, circular footprint makes it ideal for conversational seating arrangements or as a standalone element in a master bedroom suite. Designers often pair this chair with minimalist side tables or textured area rugs to ground the organic form.
