About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max lounge chair features a brown suede seat suspended within a minimal black tubular metal frame structure. Defined by its striking geometric silhouette, this lounge chair features a continuous tubular metal frame finished in matte black. The seat is formed by a single piece of rich brown suede leather, which creates a deep, comfortable sling profile. A cylindrical suede-covered bolster cushion is integrated into the upper frame to provide head or neck support. The tension-based design relies on the contrast between the rigid, circular steel base and the soft, organic drape of the leather. Its proportions are intentionally low and reclined, making it an ideal statement piece for modern interiors.

The download is a 12.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the pivot point is centered at the base for easy placement on floor surfaces. The leather and metal materials are mapped using standard PBR workflows; adjust the reflection maps on the tubular frame to suit your lighting environment. The model is scaled to real-world dimensions, allowing for straightforward insertion into your scene. Utilize instances if populating a larger lounge area to maintain file efficiency, and check the smoothing groups on the metal frame before rendering.

This lounge chair is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive breakout spaces. Its minimalist aesthetic pairs effectively with low-profile coffee tables or as a solitary accent piece in a reading nook. Professionals searching for statement seating with a tactile material palette will find this asset useful for contemporary interior design projects. It complements industrial-style lofts and refined modern apartments alike, providing a balanced visual anchor in both neutral and bold colour schemes throughout various design stages.
