About this asset

This contemporary brown leather lounge chair for 3ds Max features an organic, low-profile silhouette with a draped houndstooth throw. Defined by its sculptural, sweeping form, this low-profile lounge chair features a smooth, brown leather-upholstered seat shell that curves upwards to create a subtle backrest. The frame consists of slender, black-finished metal legs that provide a stark, linear contrast to the fluid curves of the seat. Included is a draped, houndstooth-patterned fabric throw, which adds a layer of soft texture and visual depth to the minimalist design. The piece balances clean, modern geometry with a tactile, inviting finish, making it a distinct sculptural element within a contemporary interior space.

The download is a 19.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the native units are correctly scaled to match your project's environment. The model is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for easy separation of the leather seat, metal frame, and fabric throw components. Adjust the leather material's reflection and bump maps to suit your specific lighting setup. The throw is provided as a separate mesh, enabling you to reposition it or remove it entirely depending on the desired level of clutter in your render.

This lounge chair is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern executive lounges. Its low-slung, relaxed profile makes it an ideal choice for reading nooks or as an accent piece in a minimalist bedroom. Designers often pair this chair with simple floor lamps or low-profile coffee tables to maintain the clean, horizontal lines of the space.
