About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a natural wood frame paired with a brown leather seat and backrest for a refined look. Defined by its clean lines and organic material palette, this armchair features a light-toned natural wood frame with tapered legs and integrated armrests. The seat and backrest are formed from stretched brown leather, creating a slim profile that balances comfort with structural minimalism. The joinery highlights the natural grain of the timber, while the leather upholstery provides a warm, tactile contrast. The frame design includes subtle structural bracing beneath the seat, ensuring stability while maintaining an open, airy aesthetic suitable for modern interiors requiring a sophisticated, understated piece of furniture.

The download is a 10.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, use the native material editor to adjust the leather gloss levels or wood grain scale to match your project requirements. The geometry is clean and well-structured, allowing for easy placement within interior scenes. Ensure the pivot point is set to the base for efficient snapping to floor surfaces. If using a specific render engine, assign appropriate material shaders to the leather and wood components to achieve realistic light interaction and reflections.

This armchair is ideal for residential living areas, home offices, or boutique hospitality settings where a balance of comfort and style is essential. It pairs well with minimalist dining tables or as a standalone accent chair in a reading corner or bedroom. Designers often specify this style for mid-century modern or contemporary projects, searching for leather-upholstered seating that offers a warm, natural aesthetic without overwhelming the surrounding space. It works effectively in both light-filled open-plan rooms and smaller, more intimate architectural interiors.
