About this asset

This contemporary brown fabric modular sofa for 3ds Max features a low-profile design anchored by an integrated natural wood platform. This modular seating system consists of two plush, square-profile sofa units upholstered in a textured brown fabric, resting on a cohesive light-toned timber platform base. The design emphasizes clean, geometric lines softened by the relaxed upholstery and deep-seated comfort. Included in the set are two square white scatter cushions and a decorative throw blanket with a subtle dark check pattern. A matching cylindrical side table, also finished in light wood, is integrated into the platform extension, creating a unified aesthetic suitable for modern open-plan living areas or minimalist lounge spaces.

The download is a 122 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers, allowing for easy selection of the sofa modules, cushions, and the timber base. Users should check the pivot points to ensure correct placement on the floor plane. The fabric textures are mapped with high-resolution diffuse and bump maps, which can be adjusted in the material editor to suit specific lighting conditions. The geometry is clean, making it suitable for quick integration into interior scenes without excessive overhead or complex cleanup workflows.

This sofa is ideal for high-end residential projects, particularly in contemporary living rooms or expansive master suites where a low-profile, grounded aesthetic is required. It pairs well with minimalist interior palettes, natural wood finishes, and neutral wall colours. Architects and interior designers might search for modular lounge seating, low-profile sofas, or platform-base furniture when sourcing assets for modern home staging or high-quality architectural visualisation. Its modular nature allows it to be placed as a statement piece in both small apartments and large gallery-style living spaces.
