About this asset

This contemporary brown fabric modular low-profile sofa for 3ds Max features a deep-seated, tufted platform design with metal base. This low-profile modular sofa sits on a slim, metallic base, providing a grounded aesthetic suitable for open-plan living areas. The seating surface is finished with a grid-tufted, brown fabric upholstery that extends across the entire base frame. Adjustable back cushions provide support, while the modular construction allows for flexible arrangement. The overall silhouette is wide and horizontal, emphasizing clean lines and a relaxed, lounge-focused posture. One distinct accent cushion with a dark, patterned fabric is included, providing a subtle contrast to the uniform brown textile of the main seating structure.

The download is a 10.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured for easy integration into architectural scenes. Users should ensure the object is placed on a flat plane to align with the low-profile base. The texture mapping for the fabric is applied to the tufted modular segments, allowing for adjustments to the tiling if necessary. Lighting should be set to highlight the depth of the tufting and the metallic sheen of the base, typically using a soft global illumination setup to maintain realism.

This piece works well in spacious modern living rooms, hotel lobbies, or high-end residential lounges where a low-slung, relaxed aesthetic is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables, area rugs, and floor lamps to create a cohesive seating group. Architects and interior designers often search for this type of modular furniture when specifying large, comfortable lounging areas that avoid visual clutter. It is an ideal choice for projects focused on contemporary comfort, casual gathering spaces, or open-plan interior design schemes.
