About this asset

A contemporary curved modular sofa in blue velvet, provided as a 3ds Max model featuring a deep seat profile and gold-toned accent cushions. This luxurious curved modular sofa is upholstered in a rich blue velvet, featuring vertical channel-stitched detailing across the base and backrest. The design incorporates a sweeping, arc-shaped profile that provides a distinct focal point for formal living spaces. It includes a set of plush, gold-toned throw cushions that contrast with the deep blue velvet texture. The piece is grounded by a minimalist, low-profile plinth base in a dark finish, ensuring a clean silhouette. Its generous proportions and soft, tactile upholstery make it a sophisticated choice for high-end interior compositions.

The download is a 24.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed as a single assembly for streamlined placement within a scene. Users should check the pivot point upon import to ensure correct floor alignment. Materials are assigned via a multi-sub object structure, allowing for easy adjustment of the velvet shaders or cushion fabric maps. Use the included geometry to populate lounge areas, ensuring that the light interaction with the velvet pile is optimized through appropriate material settings and standard scene lighting configurations.

This sofa is ideal for spacious open-plan living rooms, luxury hotel lobbies, or high-end residential lounge areas. Its curved form facilitates conversational seating arrangements when paired with complementary circular coffee tables or organic-shaped rugs. Designers often specify this piece for projects requiring a statement furniture item that balances comfort with a contemporary aesthetic. It pairs effectively with metallic accents and neutral wall palettes, making it a versatile choice for modern interior design schemes focusing on texture and form.
