Contemporary Black Metal Floor Lamp with Rope Detail

This contemporary 3ds Max floor lamp features a sleek black metal frame accented with intricate rope detailing and a drum shade. This floor lamp showcases a minimalist structural design, consisting of a tall, vertical metal frame reinforced with a crisscross rope pattern that wraps around the central support. The lamp is topped with a wide, cylindrical drum shade in a matte black finish, which contrasts against the natural light tone of the rope. A single light source is positioned centrally within the shade, casting illumination downwards and outwards. The clean lines and industrial-inspired material combination provide a balanced aesthetic, suitable for modern interiors that require a functional yet decorative vertical accent piece.

The download is a 1.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the object is placed on the floor plane using the snap tool for accurate alignment. The file typically includes standard material slots, allowing for easy adjustment of the metal finish or rope texture if required. Use a photometric light source or a standard omni light inside the shade to simulate the glow, adjusting intensity and colour temperature to match your project's lighting scheme. Check the layer structure to manage the shade and frame components independently.

This piece is ideal for residential living rooms, reading nooks, or hotel lobby lounges where a sculptural lighting element is needed to define a corner or seating area. It pairs effectively with contemporary armchairs, side tables, or minimalist sofas. Professionals often search for this type of asset when specifying accent lighting for high-end residential projects or hospitality fit-outs. It serves as an effective visual anchor in open-plan spaces, providing both ambient light and a distinct textural contrast against smoother, more uniform interior surfaces.
