About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max bar stool features a two-tone black leather backrest and a grey fabric seat supported by a slim metal frame. Defined by a clean, minimalist silhouette, this bar stool balances texture and tone. The backrest is upholstered in a smooth black leather, providing a structured support, while the seat is finished in a contrasting light grey fabric. The frame is constructed from slender, dark-finished metal, which provides a rigid foundation. A horizontal footrest bar connects the front and rear legs, adding structural integrity and comfort. The proportions are slim, making the piece suitable for tight spaces without sacrificing visual weight. The overall aesthetic is refined and understated, suitable for a variety of modern interiors.

The download is a 5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the pivot point is positioned at the base of the legs for easy placement on floor planes. The geometry is clean, allowing for efficient scaling to match standard counter or bar heights. Apply subdivision modifiers if closer camera angles are required to smooth the upholstered edges. Use the provided material slots to adjust texture mapping or to swap fabric and leather shaders to better align with your project’s specific colour palette and lighting conditions.

This bar stool is ideal for high-end residential kitchen islands, breakfast bars, and commercial hospitality settings like boutique cafes or hotel bars. Its neutral palette allows it to complement stone, timber, or metal worktops effortlessly. Designers often search for this type of seating when specifying furniture for open-plan living areas or contemporary retail showrooms. It pairs well with minimalist pendant lighting and marble-topped surfaces, serving as a subtle focal point that maintains a sophisticated, uncluttered visual flow in any interior design project.
