About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max retail display shelving unit features a black metal structure paired with a wood-clad panel for samples. Designed for professional material libraries or showroom environments, this shelving unit combines a minimalist black metal frame with an adjacent wood-effect vertical panel. The configuration includes five tiers of horizontal shelving, optimized for the display of fabric, leather, stone, or wood swatches. A dedicated overhead track lighting system with four adjustable spotlights is integrated into the top of the assembly to highlight the displayed items. The unit is finished in a matte black powder coat, providing a neutral backdrop that ensures material samples remain the primary focus in a commercial design setting.

The download is a 23.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with logical layering for the shelving, lighting, and signage elements, facilitating easy material swapping or geometric adjustments. The track lights are grouped for efficient manipulation within the scene hierarchy. Users should verify the pivot points are set to the base or rear wall for accurate placement against architectural surfaces. Ensure the texture mapping on the wood-clad panel is scaled appropriately to match the project's specific material specifications before final rendering.

This fixture is suited for interior design studios, material showrooms, or retail environments requiring a clean, organized presentation of finishes. It pairs effectively with modern office furniture and neutral studio interiors. Professionals can search for this asset when planning material libraries, sample display walls, or commercial retail fit-outs. It serves as an essential component for visualizing professional design workspaces where client-facing material selection occurs, providing a functional and aesthetic solution for organizing diverse architectural finishes and product samples.
