About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp armchair features beige fabric upholstery, a natural wood frame, and woven rattan detailing with baskets. This armchair features a rounded, upholstered backrest and a deep seat cushion in a light beige fabric. The frame is constructed from light natural wood, providing a minimalist aesthetic. A distinctive design element is the woven rattan or rope lattice detailing along the sides and back, adding texture and warmth to the piece. Included in the set are two cylindrical woven baskets; one serves as a storage unit for magazines or books, while the other holds rolled textiles. A small, contrasting light-coloured cushion is included for additional lumbar support.

The download is a 19 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working in SketchUp, this model is best utilised by importing the component directly into your scene. The geometry is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy material replacement or texture scaling to match your project's specific palette. Ensure the pivot point is set to the base of the chair legs for efficient placement on finished floor levels. For high-quality visualisations, apply soft-shadow settings and ambient occlusion to highlight the depth of the woven rattan textures and the fabric folds on the upholstery.

Ideal for residential living room designs, boutique hotel lobbies, or relaxed reading nooks, this armchair brings a soft, organic feel to contemporary interiors. It pairs effectively with natural timber flooring, linen curtains, and layered rugs. Professionals searching for lounge seating, accent chairs, or decorative storage solutions will find this asset versatile for both staging and detailed interior layouts. It works well in projects aiming for a casual, high-end residential aesthetic, particularly when placed alongside indoor plants or minimalist side tables.
