About this asset

This contemporary 2-seater sofa, modelled for 3ds Max, features a clean-lined beige fabric upholstery set within a natural timber frame. Defined by its balanced proportions and straightforward geometry, this 2-seater sofa showcases a prominent timber base structure that wraps around the lower perimeter and up into the armrests. The seat and back cushions are upholstered in a neutral, light-toned fabric, providing a soft contrast to the exposed wood frame. The design is minimalist, focusing on the interplay between the organic texture of the timber and the tactile nature of the textile. A single coordinating scatter cushion is included, adding a layer of depth to the overall composition while maintaining a refined, uncluttered aesthetic.

The download is a 83.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, place the object as a single unit or group to maintain the relationship between the upholstery and the timber frame. The materials are mapped for standard render workflows, allowing for easy adjustment of the fabric's diffuse and bump maps to suit specific lighting conditions. Ensure the pivot point is set to the floor level for efficient placement on room surfaces, and verify that the scale is consistent with your project's architectural units before final rendering.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern lounge areas, this sofa serves as a versatile anchor for interior schemes. It works well when paired with low-profile coffee tables or alongside minimalist side tables in a contemporary setting. Professionals searching for clean, functional seating for high-end residential projects or hospitality fit-outs will find this piece useful for establishing a calm, inviting atmosphere. Its neutral palette allows it to integrate seamlessly into diverse design palettes, from scandinavian-inspired interiors to warm, minimalist living spaces.
