Colonial Dark Wood Cane Armchair with Patterned Cushion

This colonial-style 3ds Max armchair features a dark wood frame with turned detailing, a woven cane back, and a patterned cushion. Defined by its classic colonial aesthetic, this armchair features a rich, dark-stained timber frame with distinctively turned legs and arm supports. The backrest and seat are crafted from traditional woven cane, providing a textural contrast to the smooth, polished wood. A decorative scatter cushion with a bold, black-and-white damask-style print rests against the back, adding a layer of comfort and pattern. The overall proportions are upright and structured, making it a suitable accent piece for formal living areas or reading nooks where traditional craftsmanship and natural materials are desired for the interior scheme.

The download is a 5.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

The model is provided as a native 3ds Max file, organised with logical object grouping for efficient scene management. Users can easily adjust the material parameters of the wood and cane textures to suit specific lighting conditions or render setups. The cushion is mapped with a high-resolution fabric texture, allowing for seamless integration into interior visualisations. When importing into a larger project, ensure the pivot point is set to the base for precise placement against walls or within furniture groupings.

This armchair is ideal for residential projects, particularly in colonial, tropical, or eclectic interior designs. It works well in living rooms, studies, or hotel lobby areas where a statement piece is needed. Designers often pair this style with neutral linen curtains, sisal rugs, and potted indoor plants to enhance the natural, relaxed aesthetic. It is frequently searched for by professionals looking for vintage-inspired seating, accent chairs for period-style homes, or furniture that incorporates traditional cane and wood craftsmanship.
