About this asset

This classic armchair, modelled for 3ds Max, features a black lacquer frame and striking yellow upholstery with a geometric backrest. Defined by its elegant, curved silhouette, this armchair showcases a high-gloss black lacquer finish on its carved wooden frame. The seat is upholstered in a solid, vibrant yellow fabric, providing a stark contrast to the dark timber. The backrest is finished in a complementary patterned fabric, featuring a repeating beige and white geometric motif. A matching yellow throw cushion is included, adding depth to the seat. The chair stands on slender, tapered legs with subtle fluted detailing, reflecting traditional craftsmanship and refined proportions suitable for sophisticated interior schemes.

The download is a 16.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this 3ds Max asset into a project, ensure the pivot point is set to the base of the legs for accurate floor placement. Users should manage the geometry through the layer manager, keeping the upholstery and frame on separate layers for efficient material editing. The textures are mapped to handle close-up camera angles effectively, though adjusting the glossiness maps for the lacquer finish may be necessary to match specific scene lighting conditions and environment reflections.

This armchair serves as an ideal accent piece in high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or formal study areas. Its bold colour palette and classic form pair well with monochromatic interiors or eclectic design styles that require a focal point. Professionals searching for statement seating or traditional lounge furniture will find this model versatile for both modern and historic renovation projects. It sits comfortably alongside side tables or as part of a larger conversation set in a drawing room.
