About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max model features a blush velvet wingback armchair paired with a slender black floor lamp and cushion. The armchair features a high, vertically tufted wingback silhouette upholstered in a soft-touch blush velvet fabric. It is supported by slim, tapered black metal legs with contrasting metallic tips. Accompanying the seating is a floor-standing lamp with a minimalist black conical shade and a slender, arched gold-toned metal stem. The set also includes a small accent cushion with a monochromatic chevron pattern. The proportions are elegant and upright, designed for a refined lounge area or a quiet reading corner where space is at a premium and a cohesive aesthetic is required.

The download is a 4.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 2 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users can import this 3ds Max asset directly into their scene, where the chair and lamp are grouped for easy placement. The model is structured with logical layering, allowing for independent material adjustments or texture re-mapping if necessary. Lighting setup should account for the lamp's light source, which can be configured using standard photometric lights or V-Ray light emitters for accurate illumination. Ensure the pivot points are correctly aligned to the base of the objects for seamless snapping to floor planes.

This set is ideal for populating high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive suites where a curated reading nook is desired. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for tight corners in master bedrooms or study areas. Designers often search for this type of asset when visualising 'lounge seating' or 'accent chairs' for interior design projects. It pairs well with minimalist side tables and neutral area rugs, providing a soft pop of colour against a backdrop of muted tones and natural textures.
