About this asset

This contemporary double-layer fabric curtain model for SketchUp features a soft blue outer drape paired with a crisp white inner liner. The model consists of two distinct curtain panels, each featuring a layered design. The primary layer is a textured blue fabric, while the secondary, rear-facing layer is a smooth white textile. The geometry captures a natural, pleated hang, suggesting a soft, heavy-weight material that drapes elegantly from a concealed rod. The proportions are vertical and tall, designed to span floor-to-ceiling heights. The pleats are uniform and realistic, providing a clean aesthetic suitable for modern interiors. This set provides a versatile solution for adding depth and textile softness to rendered window scenes.

The download is a 1.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is managed as a component, allowing for easy scaling along the horizontal axis to fit specific window widths. Users can apply unique materials to the two layers independently to adjust the fabric sheen or texture mapping for high-quality visualisations. It is recommended to place the curtain within a dedicated layer to toggle visibility during the modelling process, ensuring the viewport remains responsive while working on complex interior layouts.

These curtains are ideal for residential bedrooms, living areas, or hotel guest rooms requiring a layered window dressing. They pair well with minimalist or contemporary interior schemes where soft textiles are needed to balance hard surfaces like concrete or timber. Professionals searching for drapery, window treatments, or textile room assets will find this component useful for adding realism to architectural visualisations. The neutral colour palette ensures compatibility with a wide range of interior design styles, from Scandinavian to modern luxury projects.
