About this asset

This SketchUp model features a contemporary double-layer curtain set, showcasing a beige patterned outer drape over a plain white sheer. This window treatment comprises two distinct layers: an opaque, textured outer curtain in a mottled beige finish, and a light, semi-transparent white sheer inner layer. The outer curtains are gathered at the sides with a soft tie-back effect, creating natural, cascading folds that pool slightly at the base. The sheer layer remains loose and pleated across the full width, providing a sense of depth and soft light diffusion. The geometry captures the fluid, organic drape of high-quality textile, suitable for adding realism to interior visualisations without requiring complex subdivision or simulation.

The download is a 37.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this asset is best handled as a single component to keep the model workspace tidy. Users can scale the curtain width uniformly to match specific window openings. To ensure clean rendering, check the face normals and apply high-resolution texture maps to the outer fabric layer. Adjust the transparency settings on the inner sheer layer to control light transmission, ensuring the material remains lightweight and responsive within the viewport during the scene-building process.

Ideal for residential interior design, these curtains fit naturally into living rooms, master bedrooms, and dining areas where a layered, sophisticated aesthetic is required. They pair well with minimalist window frames or traditional cornices, providing a softening element to hard-edged architectural surfaces. Professionals searching for drapery, window treatments, or soft furnishings will find this asset useful for staging high-end apartment renders, hotel room interiors, or luxury home projects where realistic textile detailing is essential for a polished, finished look.
