About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp model set features six rectangular area rugs decorated with abstract geometric patterns and multicoloured motifs. The collection comprises six individual rectangular rugs, each finished with distinct abstract graphic designs. The patterns incorporate a mix of organic shapes, thin linear elements, and bold colour blocks, including shades of teal, mustard yellow, burnt orange, and charcoal grey against neutral beige or cream backgrounds. These rugs are presented as flat, thin-profile elements suitable for layering onto floor surfaces. Each piece maintains a consistent rectangular format, varying only in the specific arrangement of its artistic composition, providing a cohesive aesthetic for diverse interior design schemes.

The download is a 54.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 6 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this SketchUp model into a project, import the file and use the move and rotate tools to position the preferred rug design on the floor plane. Since these are flat components, ensure they are placed slightly above the finished floor level to prevent Z-fighting. Users can apply custom fabric textures or adjust the existing material scaling within the SketchUp material editor to achieve the desired level of detail for high-quality architectural visualisations.

These rugs are well-suited for adding texture and visual interest to residential living areas, bedrooms, or home offices. They work effectively as focal points in contemporary interior design projects, pairing easily with minimalist furniture to create a balanced, modern look. Professionals searching for abstract floor décor to style lounge spaces or to define zones within open-plan living environments will find this set highly versatile. They are ideal for quick staging in architectural renderings where a touch of colour is required.
