About this asset

This contemporary area rug SketchUp model features an organic, fluid shape with a layered green gradient design for floor interiors. This area rug is defined by its irregular, organic silhouette that mimics fluid shapes. The surface features a distinct gradient pattern, transitioning through various shades of green and off-white, creating a layered, topographic aesthetic. The design is minimalist yet visually impactful, intended to ground a seating area or lounge space. It is presented as a single-piece asset, suitable for large-scale floor coverage. The texture appears soft and uniform, providing a clean contrast against hard flooring surfaces like marble or tile. Its lack of sharp edges makes it an effective choice for softening modern room geometries.

The download is a 47.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this rug into a SketchUp scene, import the component and place it directly onto the floor plane. Ensure the surface is slightly offset from the slab to avoid Z-fighting during rendering. Users can scale the model to fit specific room dimensions while maintaining the organic proportions. Since the file is native to SketchUp, it is compatible with standard material editors; adjust the texture mapping or bump maps if using third-party renderers to achieve a realistic pile height and softness.

This piece is ideal for residential living rooms, modern hotel lobbies, or boutique retail showrooms where a focal point is required. It pairs well with curved or minimalist furniture, such as the white lounge chair shown in the preview. Designers often search for this type of asset when looking for 'organic shape rugs', 'gradient carpets', or 'contemporary floor decor' to break up the rigid lines of a space. It is particularly effective in residential design projects at the final dressing stage.
