Japanese Zen Garden Rock and Bonsai Landscape Scene

This Japanese Zen Garden scene for 3ds Max provides three curated landscape compositions featuring weathered rocks, raked sand, and bonsai. This collection features three distinct, rectangular landscape modules designed in a traditional Japanese style. Each scene combines textured, eroded rock formations with carefully placed vegetation, including bamboo and a sculptural pine bonsai. The ground plane is defined by either fine white raked sand or darker, coarser gravel, mirroring classic dry garden aesthetics. The elements are arranged to create balanced, contemplative compositions, with mossy textures on the stones and varying densities of foliage. These modules offer a ready-made atmospheric solution for exterior visualisations, capturing the serene and minimalist essence of a meditative dry garden.

The download is a 204 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Professionals can utilise these scenes as complete background elements or focal points in architectural renderings. Within 3ds Max, the assets are organised to allow for easy merging into larger master plans or site models. Users should check the layer hierarchy upon import to manage the high-poly vegetation and complex stone geometry efficiently. Adjusting the lighting intensity and shadow softness will be necessary to integrate these scenes seamlessly into your specific project environment, ensuring the textures and shaders respond correctly to your scene's global illumination settings.
