About this asset

A Japanese Zen garden interior scene for SketchUp, featuring a raked gravel floor, bonsai tree, and a circular portal. This composed interior scene draws inspiration from traditional Japanese garden design, framed within a minimalist architectural shell. The primary floor plane consists of meticulously raked white gravel, accented by dark, flat stepping stones arranged in a flowing path. Central to the composition is a mature bonsai tree, complemented by smaller patches of moss and bamboo-like greenery. An arched wooden bridge spans a small section, while a stone lantern and a small monk figurine provide authentic detail. The background features dark, textured wall panels and a large, circular opening that acts as a focal point.

The download is a 98.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Designed as a complete environment for SketchUp, this file functions as a pre-lit and textured scene. Users can integrate this model into larger architectural projects by scaling the entire group or adjusting the placement of individual elements to fit specific room dimensions. The materials are mapped for immediate rendering, and the lighting setup is calibrated to highlight the contrast between the dark interior walls and the bright, circular portal. It is best used as a base for high-quality architectural visualisations requiring a tranquil atmosphere.

This scene is suitable for professional visualisations in residential, luxury hotel, or wellness centre projects, such as meditation rooms or calming lobby spaces. It pairs effectively with minimalist interior design schemes and neutral, dark-toned materials. Architects and interior designers often search for this type of asset when creating high-end, serene environments that require a specific cultural aesthetic. It works well as a standalone focal point or integrated into larger, open-plan layouts where a dedicated space for reflection is requested by the client.
