About this asset

This modern straight stair in SketchUp features a sleek black metal frame paired with transparent glass balustrade panels. This architectural stair assembly features a clean, minimalist design defined by its matte black metal stringers and tread construction. The configuration is a classic straight-run flight, providing a bold visual anchor for contemporary interiors. Integrated glass balustrades maintain an open, airy aesthetic while ensuring safety. The structure is finished with a thin, dark handrail that runs parallel to the glass panels. Proportions are balanced for residential or light commercial application, emphasizing sharp lines and a monochromatic palette that contrasts effectively against light-toned wall surfaces in modern architectural environments.

The download is a 16.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this stair component is best handled as a grouped entity or a component instance. Users can easily adjust the height or tread count by modifying the base structure within the group. Ensure the material textures for the metal and glass are mapped correctly if applying custom render materials. Due to the modular nature, it is efficient to align the stair base with the floor plane and use the scale tool for fine-tuning the total rise to match specific project floor-to-floor heights.

This stair is ideal for open-plan residential projects, luxury apartments, or modern retail showrooms where a minimalist aesthetic is required. It pairs well with contemporary interior styles featuring neutral walls, metal accents, or industrial-inspired decor. Professionals searching for a sleek, black, straight-run staircase for interior circulation will find this asset versatile for both schematic design and high-end visualization. It serves as a strong focal point in entryways or main living areas, complementing glass-heavy architectural features and refined, contemporary furniture arrangements.
