Contemporary White and Walnut Open Staircase with Glass Balustrade

This contemporary open-riser staircase SketchUp model features walnut treads, a white stringer, and a minimal glass balustrade. This architectural staircase assembly features open-riser walnut treads paired with a clean white stringer system. The balustrade is composed of tempered glass panels secured by a slender black metal handrail, providing a transparent and airy aesthetic. The design includes an integrated planter box at the base, finished in dark grey marble, containing various indoor vegetation and decorative white pebbles. The surrounding environment includes fluted wall panelling and integrated vertical lighting, creating a cohesive, high-end interior lobby or residential circulation space. Proportions are balanced for a modern residential or luxury commercial lobby setting.

The download is a 73.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups and components, allowing for easy adjustment of the stair run and width. Materials are applied as standard textures, which can be swapped or scaled within the material editor to match project-specific finishes. The glass and metal elements are modelled as separate components for efficient layer management. Users should ensure the model origin is set to the floor level for accurate placement within a larger BIM or architectural project file.

Ideal for residential entrance halls, luxury apartment lobbies, or boutique hospitality projects, this staircase model serves as a focal point for high-end interior visualisations. It pairs well with minimalist furniture and neutral material palettes. Professionals searching for modern circulation elements, open-tread designs, or integrated lobby planting will find this asset useful for early-stage design development or final presentation renders. The inclusion of the surrounding architectural context makes it effective for demonstrating spatial flow and lighting integration in contemporary interior design.
