About this asset

This contemporary gold metal rod ceiling baffle system for SketchUp features a dynamic, undulating form with variable rod lengths. Comprised of an array of vertical gold-finished metal rods, this ceiling baffle system creates a sophisticated, rhythmic visual effect. The design utilizes varying rod heights to achieve a wave-like, organic geometry that adds depth and texture to interior overhead planes. Each rod is slender and cylindrical, arranged in a dense, structured grid that catches light across its metallic surface. The assembly provides a sculptural element, suitable for defining zones within open-plan spaces while maintaining an airy, transparent aesthetic. The high-shine finish enhances the luxurious, modern character of the installation.

The download is a 297 KB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this ceiling system, import the component into your SketchUp model and position it within your reflected ceiling plan. Users should manage the file size by utilizing layers to toggle visibility during active modelling sessions. Apply custom metallic materials in your rendering software to fine-tune the light reflection and specular highlights of the gold finish. The geometry is modular, allowing for scaling or tiling to fit specific room dimensions while maintaining the intended parametric flow across larger surface areas.

Ideal for high-end commercial interiors, this ceiling feature suits luxury hotel lobbies, boutique retail environments, and modern restaurant dining areas where a focal point is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist lighting solutions, such as recessed downlights or linear LED strips, to accentuate the metallic texture. Professionals often search for sculptural ceiling treatments, acoustic baffles, or custom metal ceiling systems to define architectural character in hospitality projects. The design is particularly effective in spaces requiring a balance of aesthetic impact and structural lightness.
