Classical Decorative Column Set

A collection of ten classical decorative columns in SketchUp, featuring varied plaster profiles and ornate gold-toned metal accents. This set contains ten distinct columns that draw from classical and neoclassical architectural orders. The collection includes a mix of fluted, smooth, and patterned shafts, each topped with either ornate capitals or simple mouldings. Several designs incorporate intricate gold-coloured metallic detailing, including floral motifs and spiral wraps, providing a high-contrast aesthetic. The forms range from square, pedestal-based pilasters to traditional cylindrical shafts with varied base designs. Each model is finished in a clean, matte white plaster texture, making them suitable for detailed interior or exterior architectural visualisations.

The download is a 224 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 10 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these columns function as individual components, allowing for easy placement and scaling within a scene. Users can drag and drop these assets directly into their project model, using the native move and rotate tools to align them with walls or structural elements. Since the models are grouped, applying materials to specific parts like the gold accents or plaster shafts is straightforward. Best practice involves placing these on a dedicated layer to manage scene complexity and visibility during the design process.
