Welcome to the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura del Vallès (ETSAV), UPC-BarcelonaTech, a metropolitan school of architecture established in the mid-70s. ETSAV offers a comprehensive training, emphasizing customised attention, interdisciplinary work, experimentation, and social commitment. It provides an ideal framework for exploring contemporary topics in Architecture & Urbanism. The school maintains a 1:10 professor-student ratio, fostering a personal approach to teaching, team interaction, and joint workshops. Additionally, collaboration among professors from different departments — especially in the Architecture and Design Workshop — is a unique aspect of its pedagogy. Deeply rooted in its territory, ETSAV also boasts a very international profile, engaging in a network of Spanish and European architecture schools for teaching and research. It allows students to intervene responsibly in the built environment and offers Joint Dual Degrees with ENSA Montpellier (France) and UNIKORE (Italy).

Doctoral Programme

This doctoral programme focuses on basic and specific research on various aspects of energy and the environment applied to architecture and urbanism. It covers all of the specific elements that make up the environment of architecture and cities (thermal, light and acoustic), as well as the sociopolitical dimension, which is considered an integral part of architectural and urban design.

This program equips students with the knowledge to plan and design landscapes and green spaces. You will be able to plan and design landscapes and green spaces (parks, schools, institutions, outdoor spaces, etc.) and manage and control their construction, maintenance and rehabilitation.

MBLandArch focuses on the academic approach of landscape architecture ranging from a projective exploration to contemporary topics of our environment. Merging both practice and theory, it considers inherent perspectives such as landscape ecology, humanistic disciplines and the construction of public space, among others.
