About University of Missouri - Kansas City

The University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) offers the first Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree at a public university in Missouri. This rigorous five-year, 150-credit hour program is housed within the School of Science and Engineering. It is designed to prepare students for a career in architectural design and ultimately for licensure. The curriculum integrates traditional architectural principles with cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices, offering a dynamic and impactful educational experience. Students engage in extensive studio work and benefit from invaluable internship opportunities with numerous Kansas City-based architectural firms, effectively using the city as a "learning lab."
