This unique program covers a wide range of topics within physical and institutional design, allowing students to explore their interests and learn from internationally renowned teachers. It focuses on spatial aspects of societal challenges and emerging technological transitions in rural and urban settings.

This program combines five fields: Economic Geography, Real Estate Studies, Population Studies, Cultural Geography, and Planning. It provides an open atmosphere with easy contact between students and lecturers.

This program explores the historical development of built environments from ancient times to contemporary urban design, understanding the cultural, social, and technological factors that have shaped architecture and urban planning. It provides a rich introduction to the history and theory of architecture and urban planning, cultural heritage, and healthy cities.

This program compares international theory and practice, studying urban areas and issues of infrastructure, environment and water. It involves thinking (policy strategies) and doing (practical work on projects and plans).

This program highlights the social aspects of the global transition towards a more sustainable society. Students learn to adopt new methodological and interactive approaches to problem-solving in different contexts, analyzing, developing, and negotiating innovative institutional designs and policy solutions.

This program trains students to conduct research in economic and cultural geography, planning, and demography. It offers scientific freedom and develops research skills, allowing students to design their own program by choosing courses according to their interests.

Fully funded PhD position embedded in the national ECCO (Empower Citizen Collectives in Societal Transitions) project. The research focuses on participatory planning, sense of place, and community-led sustainability transitions in urban–rural contexts.
