University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore

The Department of Architecture (DoA) at the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, established in 1962, is a pioneering institution in Pakistan, being the first to offer a 5-year professional Bachelor's degree in Architecture. It has significantly contributed to the founding and development of the architectural profession in the country, maintaining a leading role by offering higher programs including Master in Architecture (M. Arch) and Doctor of Philosophy in Architecture (Ph. D.). Over its 60-year history, DoA has produced over 1500 graduate architects who have shaped a substantial part of Pakistan's built environment. The department is committed to broadening intellectual horizons and producing enlightened, progressive members of society, providing a thorough knowledge base through a formal curriculum combined with exposure to a rich social and intellectual environment. It boasts a highly competent and qualified faculty with expertise in diverse architectural research areas, surpassing other national architecture schools.
