Founded by an edict of the Pope, this university houses Europe's oldest academic botanical garden. The Master Degree Programme in Architecture and Building Engineering at the Università di Pisa aims to prepare students for the practice of building engineering and architecture. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in architectural history, construction, urban planning, representation methods, mathematics, basic sciences, and specialized engineering disciplines. The educational approach integrates lectures, seminars, workshops, and practical laboratories. Students are encouraged to participate in national and international conferences, workshops, and meetings to stay current with scientific advancements. This five-year, single-cycle program, totaling 300 ECTS, is recognized at a European level, enabling graduates to register with both the Order of Engineers and the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects, and Conservators.
