Universidad Rafael Urdaneta (URU)

Universidad Rafael Urdaneta (URU) is a private, non-profit higher education institution located in Maracaibo, Zulia, Venezuela, established in 1973. Named in honor of the distinguished Zulian hero Rafael Urdaneta, the university's core purpose is to generate and apply knowledge that contributes to the comprehensive evolution of human beings. It focuses on forming professionals who are value-driven, self-efficacious, relevant, highly competitive, and committed to the scientific, technical, and humanistic development of their social environment. The institution aims to foster the creation of viable projects that address regional and national challenges. The Architecture program, part of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, trains professionals capable of planning, directing, and supervising projects in urban, landscape, and interior design. Graduates are equipped with skills in construction project planning, feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, site selection, cost analysis, land use studies, and urban planning.
