About Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal

The Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal (UNFV) was initially founded as the Faculty of Social Architecture on April 2, 1961, as part of the Lima Branch of the Comunal del Centro University. Following the establishment of Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal by Law No. 14962 on October 30, 1963, the Faculty relocated to its current premises in Pasaje Páez No. 140, Jesús María, in June 1966. In 2001, its name was officially changed from the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism, and Plastic Arts to its current designation, the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism. The institution has demonstrated significant growth, evolving from approximately 35 students in its inaugural graduating class to its current enrollment of 794 students. Architect Henry Biber Poillevard served as the founding Dean, playing a pivotal role in the faculty's establishment and development.
