Universidad Nacional Experimental del Tachira

The Universidad Nacional Experimental del Táchira (UNET) was established on February 27, 1974, as an experimental institution dedicated to the pursuit of truth, the affirmation of transcendent human values, and leadership in education, culture, and science through teaching, research, outreach, and complementary activities involving the production of goods and services. The Architecture program commenced its activities in August 1983. The UNET Architect is envisioned as a holistic professional with a robust civic, democratic, and humanistic foundation, acutely aware of their national, regional, and geopolitical identity. They are dedicated to their societal role as a catalyst for change in physical and technological development, embodying authenticity, self-esteem, creativity, solidarity, tolerance, and profound respect for nature and humanity. Graduates are expected to comprehend architecture's significance in shaping past, present, and future human culture. They are prepared to engage in the investigation and execution of design, production, administration, recycling, and conservation processes across various scales of architectural projects. This includes the ability to interpret and analyze both rural and urban environments, guided by ethical, moral, and aesthetic principles, coupled with a critical, honest, trustworthy, responsible, just, socially sensitive, and democratically cultural attitude.
