About Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center

The Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center (SICTC) is an innovative hub for advanced career and technical education, workforce development, and training for the entire southwest Indiana region. Operated by the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation (EVSC), SICTC serves approximately 800 high school students annually from five counties: Gibson, Posey, Spencer (southern half), Vanderburgh, and Warrick. The center provides classroom and hands-on training in 20 diverse areas of study, utilizing the latest emerging technologies and equipment. In 2016, SICTC was recognized as a distinguished Indiana STEM Certified School through 2021, demonstrating its commitment to high-quality STEM programs. The 260,000-square-foot facility features flexible "plug-and-play" labs and studios designed with input from community leaders to ensure relevance to business and industry needs, preparing students for high-skill, high-wage, or high-demand careers or further university education.
