OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University is a state university in Oslo and Kjeller, Norway. Established on January 12, 2018, it is the result of a merger of many former vocational colleges in the Greater Oslo Region, succeeding Oslo and Akershus University College (HiOA). OsloMet is committed to developing knowledge to solve societal challenges and contributes significantly to the Norwegian welfare society. The university has around 1,400 academic employees and approximately 20,000 students. Most of its operations are centered in downtown Oslo along Pilestredet, with an additional campus in Kjeller.
