Master Interior Design course - Milan (Italy)

The Master's Program in Interior Design at IED Milano is intended for graduates in Architecture, Interior Architecture and Interior Design, focusing on acquiring basic cultural knowledge of design thinking, with special attention to methods and operations. This program expands cultural boundaries and fosters unconventional thinking, preparing students to work with companies on groundbreaking projects.

This program prepares interior designers to create spaces that generate experiences, emotions, and connections between people and places. The curriculum balances technical skills and design culture through lectures, seminars, and talks, complemented by guided visits to iconic spaces and major design events in Milan.

The MSc Degree in Interior and Spatial Design aims at training highly skilled professionals who are able to critically deal with new interior spaces, design of urban interiors and ephemeral places, with particular interest in new technologies. The program is characterized by different teaching activities, ranging from single-discipline courses, to design studios and workshops, with the involvement of companies, institutions, visiting professors and design studios.

This course focuses on preparatory design courses during the first year, which are then examined in depth during the second year. The third year is dedicated to designing a final project and the student portfolio, covering design basics to Art History and Architecture for interiors.

This MA program deepens cultural, theoretical, and technical skills for understanding meanings and values linked to interior and public space projects. Advanced studies reinforce knowledge and skills necessary to manage an interior design project for complex public spaces, enabling students to handle the entire design process.

This program offers training in the profession of architecture based on a 'polytechnic culture', combining humanistic and artistic skills with scientific and technological skills. It aims to train an educated professional architect, able to deal with the complexity of the transformation process of contemporary living spaces.

This program aims at the formation of graduates mastering the theoretical fundamentals and the operational tools needed for designing architecture on its various scales. The educational programme includes a wide disciplinary framework based on science, the humanities and arts.

This doctoral program is one of the most multidisciplinary PhD programs in Italy, encompassing about 20 different scientific sectors. It focuses on strategic research fields such as sustainability, twin transition, well-being, advanced products, and conservation.

The main goal of this course is training students to design spaces merging feelings and perceptions with a rigorous functional disposition. They learn to interact with the Italian design system and those expressive tools that allow developing, assessment, and explain a project from the briefing to the final creation and communication.

The objective of this course is to provide students with the necessary skills to develop an interior design project for fashion in its various phases: from concept definition to project development.

This Bachelor's degree is proposed as a preparation for the profession of Interior Design, aimed at high-school/graduate students and is accredited by E.A.B.H.E.S. At the end of the formation, the student acquires an European Degree with 180 ECTS credits (European credits).
